BIOGRAPHY

I have worked with adult learners for over 15 years in one aspect or another. I have a background in academic advising at the graduate and undergraduate levels. I have a BA in Family Life Education from Spring Arbor University, a MS in Psychology from Capella University, and recently completed my doctorate in Psychology with Northcentral University. I have many interests and hobbies that range from gardening, voluntarily running 5ks, 10ks and a half marathon, running 2 businesses - one in photography and the other in charcuterie boards, cooking/baking and spending as much time as I can with my significant other, my 5 beautiful grandchildren who range in ages from 12-17, their mom and dad and my furbabies.

RESEARCH

My areas of interest include retention and persistence with First Generation College Students, Student Engaged Learning, and Relationship building techniques in large class settings.
